COMPETITION GUIDELINES

Creative Competition Guidelines

SNEAK PEAK

I. MECHANICS

1. This competition is open to all SFC members.
2. Only one entry per province is allowed.
3. The AVP must be an infomercial in line w/ our SFC Vision - “Every single man and woman all over the world experiencing Christ”.
4. Minimum time for AVP is 30 seconds and a maximum time of one (1) minute. Three points will be deducted from the total score for every minute or fraction thereof in excess of the allotted time.
5. Any medium may be used to create the video, including, but not limited to, film, animation, and digital photography. However, all footages must be original material. Stock footage sourced from anywhere else (i.e. downloaded peer-to-peer file sharing programs or cuts from films or commercials), especially those from copyrighted property, is strictly NOT to be used. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
6. All entries must be submitted in one of the following digital formats: DVD Video or AVI. All videos must be NTSC standard and recorded at Standard Play (SP) speed.
7. Scenes should not be vulgar or sexually suggestive, even if in making a pastoral point come across. Music should be wholesome and lively. Subliminal, sexually suggestive and vulgar lyrics/language will not be allowed. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
8. Participating entries must submit the FINAL entry in CD format and uploaded in the YOUTUBE along with the name of the sector via express mail on or before September 16, 2009.
9. Each entry must also include the name of the group leader with contact number for easier coordination.

II. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

SFCs GOT TALENT

I. MECHANICS

1. Eligibility The competition is open to all SFC Members. Each province is allowed to have two (2) entries in this competition.
2. Membership There is no limit on the number of members in the group. Composition maybe all brothers, all sisters or mixed.
3. Act Performance must be a showcase of any talent (e.g. dance, stand-up comedy, band, singing, etc.). Contestants are encouraged to think out of the box and explore the unlimited talents the God has given us.
4. Duration of performance Maximum time for performance is two (2) minutes. A grace period of 2 minutes is given for entrance and exit. Time starts once the performer/s enters the stage and ends after its exit. Three points will be deducted from the total score for every minute or fraction thereof in excess of the allotted time.
5. System An elimination round will be conducted on September 25, 3PM. Contestants who are able to pass the elimination round will proceed to the final round and perform on the first night of the ReCon.
6. Logistical Requirements The organizing committee will only provide guitar amplifiers and sound system. Any other musical instrument and requirements should be brought by the performers.
7. Judging Three judges will decide on who will proceed to the finals night. Performers must get three (3) yes from the judges to pass the elimination. Judging on the final round will be based on the criteria given below.
8. Costume Costumes must be decent and proper.
9. Disqualification The Competition Committee reserves the right to disqualify the group on the following grounds:
a. If the talent act has subliminal and vulgar lyrics/language or sexually suggestive
movements.
b. If the costume is indecent and improper
c. If the performer/s is/are not present an hour before the competition
10. Call time All competing groups must signify their presence one hour before the start of the competition. They should show up at least one hour before their scheduled performance time. This competition will be on Friday night.
11. Registration Participating groups must register and email their entries to the Competitions Committee thru nbdoopey@yahoo.com on or before September 16, 2009.

AMAZING RACE


I. DYNAMICS

1. This competition is open to all SFC members.
2. Only one entry per province is allowed.
3. All sectors should confirm their entry on or before September 22, 2009.
4. Each team must be composed of 6 members, specifically 3 bothers and 3 sisters.
All members of the team should be physically fit, e.g. no heart conditions, asthma, allergies, etc.
5. Each team must come up with their own team name and team chant. The team can decide how they will be identified.
6. Each team will go through a series of pit stops in which they will perform a particular task in order to move on to the next stop. The first team to finish the course wins the race.
7. All participating individuals are enjoined to bring extra clothes since the race entails both physical and mental challenges.
8. All competing group must signify their presence one hour before the start of competitions. They shall show up at least one hour before their scheduled playing time. The group who will not comply may be disqualified. This competition will be done on Saturday morning.

Advocacy Booth Competition Guidelines

I. MECHANICS

1. This competition is open to all SFC members.
2. Only one entry per province is allowed.
3. There are three (3) Principles the SFC promotes: Sustainable Environment, Patriotism – Mahalaga ang Boto ko! and 100% FREE Lifestyle which will be drawn during the RC Meeting on August 16, 2009.
4. The purpose of the contest is to promote and educate the community about ways to experience Christ through our environment, patriotism and our lifestyles. It should describe how application of the principles helps improve human relations and helps to build a better world.
5. The team can decide how they will express their Advocacy within the area of 2m x 4m. The content of the booth can be any drawings, photographs, computer graphics, magazine paste-ups, etc. that visually get a message across.
6. The use of indigenous and recycled materials is highly recommended.
7. The booths will be exhibited during the 3- day activity of the RECON.
8. All provinces should confirm their entry on or before September 16, 2009.
9. Each team must be composed of 10 designers/artist, specifically 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
10. Subliminal, sexually suggestive and vulgar words/language will not be allowed. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
11. INGRESS is schedule on September 24 (thurs) afternoon (1PM) until September 25 (Friday) in the morning (11:00AM). The group who will not comply may be disqualified. The exhibit will be opened for viewing on September 25, 1PM.

B A S K E T B A L L C O M P E T I T I O N

DYNAMICS

1. Participating teams in this competition are those coming from the provinces of SFC Southeastern Mindanao Region. All provinces should confirm their entry on or before SEPTEMBER 16, 2008 and submit their confirmed players and entry forms on or before the same date.
2. There will be a maximum of 15 players and a minimum of 10 players per team (STRICTLY brothers only). In the case of 15 players, 12 will be considered as official players and the other 3 as reserves. Kindly assign one (1) SFC from your area to be the Coordinator of the team. TEAM CAPTAIN should be part of the first 12 players.
3. Only players listed in the official line-up will be allowed to play. The first 12 players listed on the sheet will be the official players. If player/s included on the first 12 fail/s to play, for whatever reason, the team may field players from the reserves list.
4. Provinces who fail to submit at least 10 players will not be allowed to play. Those who fail to submit the necessary/required form/s on time would mean illegibility to play during ILC Basketball Competition.
5. All teams are REQUIRED to be at the opening ceremonies in their uniforms, otherwise, they will be disqualified. PROPER ATTIRE is highly encouraged. NO UNIFORM, NO PLAY.
6. The Collegiate Amateur Rules will be used.
7. The 1st half of the game will use a 20-minute running-time format. The time clock will be stopped only during free throws and time-outs. The 2nd half will also have 20 minutes but only the first 10 minutes will use the running-time format; the last 10 minutes will be played on a stop-time format.
8. In case of overtime, a 5-minute extension will be played on a stop-time format.
9. If a team is not in the playing court within 10 minutes after their game is announced, default of the game will be declared.
10. Knock out system will be followed. In case of odd number of competitors, quotient system will be applied.
11. If a team wins by default, automatically, the team gains 10 points.
12. Any form of protest should be coursed through the designated TEAM CAPTAIN. It will then be forwarded to the person-in-charge of the competition from the Competitions Team (name to follow), after which it will be reviewed by the SFC BASKETBALL COMMITTEE (composed of the SFC RLC Coordinator, a Couple Coordinator, and the officials of the competition).
13. The SFC RLC BASKETBALL COMMITTEE will oversee all the games. In case of any untoward incidents occurring during the course of the competition, they will also have the call to decide on the matter. Committee’s decision is final and irrevocable.

V O L L E Y B A L L C O M P E T I T I O N

DYNAMICS

1. Participating teams in this competition are those coming from the provinces of SFC Southeastern Mindanao Region. All provinces should confirm their entry on or before AUGUST 18, 2008 and submit their confirmed players and entry forms on or before the same date.
2. There will be a maximum of 12 players and minimum of 9 players per team (STRICTLY sisters only), with the first 9 names as the official players and the other 3 as reserves. Kindly assign one (1) SFC from your area to act as the coordinator of the team. TEAM CAPTAIN should be part of the first 9 players.
3. Only players listed in the official line-up will be allowed to play. The first 9 players listed on the sheet will be the official players. If player/s included on the first 9 fail/s to play, for whatever reason, the team may field in players from the reserves list.
4. Provinces who fail to submit at least 9 players will not be allowed to play. Those who fail to submit the necessary/required form/s on time would mean illegibility to play during ILC Volleyball Competition.
5. All teams are REQUIRED to be at the opening ceremonies in their uniforms; otherwise, they will be disqualified. PROPER ATTIRE is highly encouraged. NO UNIFORM, NO PLAY.
6. The New International Rules will be used with the exception of the number of sets and the use of LIBERO.
7. Rally-point scoring system will be used (1-25) on a best-of-three-sets format.
8. Each player’s number must be clearly indicated in the uniform (i.e. 1-12 only).
9. If a team is not in the playing court within 10 minutes after their game is announced, default of the game will be declared. Schedule of games will be posted in advance.
10. Knock out format. In case of odd number of competitors, quotient system will be followed.
11. If a team wins by default, the team automatically gains 10 points.
12. Any form of protest should be coursed through the designated TEAM CAPTAIN. It will then be forwarded to the person-in-charge of the competition from the Competitions Team (names to follow), after which it will be reviewed by the SFC VOLLEYBALL COMMITTEE (composed of the SFC ILC Volleyball Coordinator, a Couple Coordinator, and the officials of the competition).
13. The SFC RLC VOLLEYBALL COMMITTEE will oversee all the games. In case of anye untoward incidents occurring during the course of the competition, they will also have the call to decide on the matter. Committee’s decision is final and irrevocable.

B A D M I N T O N C O M P E T I T I O N

DYNAMICS

1. Participating teams in this competition are those coming from the provinces of SFC Southeastern Mindanao Region. All provinces should confirm their entry on or before AUGUST 18, 2008 and submit their confirmed players and entry forms on or before the same date.
2. Each province should have one entry per event.
a. Men’s Doubles Division
b. Women’s Doubles Division
c. Mixed Doubles Division
3. The participating provinces may submit 2 players for every category. The first name on the list will be considered the official entry while the 2nd name will be the reserve. If, for whatever reason, the official player is unable to make it, the reserve will take his/her place. Only players listed in the official line-up will be allowed to play.
4. All competitors are required to attend the opening ceremonies; otherwise, they will be disqualified. PROPER ATTIRE is highly encouraged.
5. Each participant must bring his/her own badminton racket. No borrowing of rackets will be allowed. NO BADMINTON RACKET, NO PLAY.
6. Knock-out system will be applied.
7. If the player/s is/are not at the playing court five minutes after the game is announced, default of the game will be declared.
8. Two (2) winning sets are needed to claim victory. A 3rd set will only be played in the event of a tie.
9. The New International Rules (IBA) will be applied.
10. Game matches will be pre-drawn.
11. Provinces who fail to submit the necessary/required form/s on time would mean illegibility to play during RLC Badminton Competition.
12. If a team wins by default, the team automatically gains 10 points.
13. Any form of protest should be coursed through the designated TEAM CAPTAIN. It will then be forwarded to the person-in-charge of the competition from the Competitions Team (names to follow), after which it will be reviewed by the SFC BADMINTON COMMITTEE (composed of the SFC RLC Coordinator, a Couple Coordinator, and the officials of the competition).
14. The SFC RLC BADMINTON COMMITTEE will oversee all the games. In case of any untoward incidents occurring during the course of the competition, they will also have the call to decide on the matter. Committee’s decision is final and irrevocable.

S O C C E R

2. There will be a maximum of 10 players and the 7 players will be regular team players (STRICTLY brothers only). Kindly assign one (1) SFC from your area to be the Coordinator of the team. TEAM CAPTAIN should be part of the first 12 players.
3. Only players listed in the official line-up will be allowed to play. The first 10 players listed on the sheet will be the official players. If player/s included on the first 10 fail/s to play, for whatever reason, the team may field players from the reserves list.
4. Provinces who fail to submit at least 10 players will not be allowed to play. Those who fail to submit the necessary/required form/s on time would mean illegibility to play during ILC Basketball Competition.
5. All teams are REQUIRED to be at the opening ceremonies in their uniforms, otherwise, they will be disqualified. PROPER ATTIRE is highly encouraged. NO UNIFORM, NO PLAY.
6. The FIFA 7-A-SIDE RULES WILL BE USED.
7. The 1st half of the game will use a 15-minute running-time format. The time clock will be stopped for 3 minutes for the half-break. The 2nd half of the game will also have 15 minutes time format.
8. In case of overtime, penalty shoot out will take place to decide the winner.
9. If a team is not in the playing court within 10 minutes after their game is announced, default of the game will be declared.
10. Knock out system will be followed. In case of odd number of competitors, quotient system will be applied.
11. If a team wins by default, automatically, the team gains 10 points.
12. Any form of protest should be coursed through the designated TEAM CAPTAIN. It will then be forwarded to the person-in-charge of the competition from the Competitions Team (name to follow), after which it will be reviewed by the SFC SOCCER COMMITTEE (composed of the SFC RLC Coordinator, a Couple Coordinator, and the officials of the competition).
13. The SFC RLC SOCCER COMMITTEE will oversee all the games. In case of any untoward incidents occurring during the course of the competition, they will also have the call to decide on the matter. Committee’s decision is final and irrevocable.
