whew... its been so long since i`ve been with the community. I`m missin u all guys in north 1 specially my bro and sis in Jade Valley-Juliville Group. Musta na? Bless you all in there and keep serving GOD wherever you go. Hope to see you all soon. Continue evangelizing and be a blessing for others. Lets keep the fire burning and serve God with all our hearts and soul.

I jst can`t help but remember the first time I attended the gathering of our chapter last 2005. Me and my sister Hazel felt your waem welcome.. It`s like being home again in the company of our SFC brothers and sisters in Cotabato City where are from. I shared and cried expressing my happiness of hearing again our songs and my cry of being in God`s flight taking away from me my comfort of a good job, a boyfreind and a scholarshiip.
I don`t know how it came to be but it`s God`s grace that I`m back home in God.. with my God`s Gift serving the community in our little ways.. It`s a dream come true for me.. Rebuilding His home in me and in us.. You all are instruments to God`s purpose of bringing me here in Davao City. I tahnk you all and I honor you!!!!

CALLING all SFCs and FRIENDS of SFCs
I would like to ask help to those who are interested to be a SAGIP or SIGA FACILITATOR.
There are a number of GK sites who needs available and committed Ate`s and Kuya`s (as what SAGIP and SIGA would call us) to update the profile,give workshops,facilitate their weekly activity,tutor them and follow through their development in school,family, spiritual and social life.
Any of the above can do because your help can go a long way. Even an hour of your day can make a difference in a child`s life.
If you need help for...
(1) trainings ( facilitator`s training or heart for the kid`s training)
(2) GK Orientation for non-SFC volunteers, or new members
(3) contact persons in the GK area
(4) Site visits or observation
(5) or anything about Gawad Kalinga

Every GK volunteer is a hero and will always be a privilege to serve God through His people.

In the Gospel (Mark 10:35-45), We saw James and John were not happy with their place in life. They wanted to sit at the right hand and the left hand of JESUS when he came into his glory.
Alexander Pope once called ambition. "The glorious fault of angels and of gods."
Of course, James & John wanted to be happy, and they thought that achieving a high place would make them happy; but the Hungarians know better. They have a proverb which says, " Where ambition ends, then happiness begins."
As long as we are over- ambitious, we cannot be happy with our present place in life.
As long as we are over-ambitious we have no time to be of help to others.

Sometimes, when we ask help from an over-ambitious person and he says he is very busy, we can almost read in his face the words. " Don’t bother me, can’t you see I’m too busy trying to get elected, or trying to win an award?"
Ambition does not allow us to share our time in helping others, for ambition’s only concern is self, self, self.
Let us concern our selves Ralph Waldo Emerson put it well when he said, " character is that which can do without success and recognition."
Let us concern ourselves with building character, not with building a reputation

My dear brothers and sisters,
We need your prayers for Sis. Jacqueline Lou Ponce, one of our active members in WEST A1A Chapter. She`s diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease and because of this the opening of the 2 veins of her heart are nearly closed. According to the doctor she needs to undergo a heart procedure immediately. If the said procedure will not be done urgently, she might experience stroke or she might die, and sad to say she`s only 29.The doctor told her to prepare 250 Thousand Pesos for the operation. Her family and relatives don`t have the means to raise that big amount in a short span of time. Brothers and sisters in Christ, as one family we are seeking your help through prayers, and if you can extend some other form of help we are glad to have them.Thanks in advance my dear brothers and sisters. May our Almighty Father always bless you with His riches in heaven. In all things let us glorify God!!!
